Red Carpet Stars: Fifth Sun’s Golden Globe Favorites

Roll out the red carpet because Fifth Sun is going to the Golden Globe Awards! Well...sort of. We may not have gotten an official fancy invitation to the 76th Golden Globe Awards or anything, but we were there in spirit with some of the coolest Fifth Sun brands! We figured that since some of our favorite movies were nominated (and winners!) at this year’s awards, it was almost like we were invited too! We even perfected our red-carpet strut and picked out a fancy outfit for the evening.

We were hoping that Wreck-It Ralph or Elastigirl might ask us along as their guests...but we’ll just have to wait and hope we get invited to next year’s Golden Globes instead (hint, hint...). Until then though, let’s give a shout out to the fantastic films nominated this year!

1) Marvel’s Black Panther

Marvel’s widely-popular Black Panther was nominated for THREE Golden Globes! T’Challa may not have gone home with an award, but he’ll always be a star in our eyes. Wakanda forever!

Nominated Best Motion Picture – Drama

Nominated Best Original Score – Motion Picture (Ludwig Göransson)

Nominated Best Original Song – Motion Picture (“All the Stars” – Music and lyrics by Kendrick Lamar, Anthony Tiffith, Mark Spears, Solana Rowe, Al Shuckburgh)

2) Disney’s Ralph Breaks the Internet

Start churnin' butter and put on your church shoes, cuz Ralph and Vanellope von Schweetz are heading into the internet er...no wait, even better... they are heading to the Golden Globes for Disney’s Ralph Breaks the Internet’s big night out!

Nominated Best Motion Picture – Animated

3) Disney Pixar’s Incredibles 2

Thankfully the Parr family had Edna Mode to dress them this year for the Golden Globes. Disney Pixar’s Mr. Incredible tried to wear something with a cape (gasp!) and Edna told him, “This is a hobo suit, darling. You can’t be seen in this. I won’t allow it!”

Nominated Best Motion Picture – Animated

4) Marvel’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

Miles Morales got an invitation to the Golden Globes and it was addressed to “Spider-Man”. Now, Peter Parker, Peter Porker, and Spider-Man Noir are all trying to say the invitation was actually meant for them!

Things can get a little confusing when there are this many Spider people hanging around...Thankfully though, in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse more Spider people just meant it was that much more awesome! Our Spidey sense is tingling because Spider-Verse just won BEST Animated Motion Picture!

Winner Best Motion Picture – Animated

We may have watched the Golden Globes from our couch instead of being on the red carpet (we will never forgive Wreck-It Ralph for not taking us), but we’re so glad that our favorite Fifth Sun films got some Golden Globe love this year! Keep things golden all year long with a Fifth Sun t-shirt today!
