The Tick, created by cartoonist and writer Ben Edlund, is still an unconventional hero — a subtle mockery and parody of our mainstream superheroes — who is always the first to make you laugh and will always have the ability to make you cheer for the weird guy in the room...
Nonetheless, the new Tick series also manages to feel like a Marvel superhero flick with its phenomenal stunts, special effects, and characters who keep you on the edge of your seat.
However, the Amazon Prime series also has a new and endearing quality that was missing from the earlier versions. Unlike many other popular superheroes, we can see a little bit of ourselves in the awkward bumbling accountant-turned-hero, Arthur.
Arthur isn’t born fighting crime and he’d probably have crunched numbers in his office all day had he not met The Tick and stumbled upon his superhero moth suit.
